I’m really delighted to announce that we’ve been working with Cambridge United to develop our latest product extension, picturepath visitor guides. Cambridge United have been the first organisation to collaborate with us to produce a picturepath visual timeline guide that’s now available for home, away and disabled visitors to the Abbey stadium.

This means that from this week, and for every home game this season, all fans are able to benefit from using picturepath visual timelines. The app based timelines will support fans, in particular those with additional needs and heightened anxiety such as autism, in preparation for and during their visit to the stadium.

As a lifelong Cambridge United supporter It’s a real pleasure for me to see this come to life. It was several years ago when taking my autistic son Freddie to his first game at the Abbey, and witnessing the sensory challenges he faced, that I realised the need for picturepath. It felt right with our visitor guides to start here, and I’m looking forward to using it on my next visit.

How to access the Abbey Stadium Visual Guide The guides are available within the existing app that can be downloaded for free via your app store (Apple / Android), simply navigate to add routine, and then “visit with picturepath” to access the guides. The video below shows exactly where to find, and how to use the guide.

“I’m really keen to make our matchday experience at the Abbey as inclusive as possible, providing facilities and support that meet the needs of all of our supporters’ interests. It’s fantastic to be at a club that truly supports this. I’m delighted that the work we’re doing with picturepath strengthens our offering for fans, in particular those with additional needs.”Cambridge United Fan Director; Dave Matthew-Jones

If you would like to learn more about creating a picturepath guide specific to your venue or experience I’d be delighted to discuss how this would work. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
